“19 Days” is a historical fiction set in Memphis, Tn. in 1966. The main characters are teens during the 4 month period leading up to the Beatle’s concert on August 19, 1966. The Beatles played concerts all around the world, but the circumstances leading up to the Memphis concert were unique. This was during the John Lennon controversy when reports were published that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ. It involved the Memphis City government, the Department of Public Works, a coalition of local churches, and the KKK.
